How to put out a cherry?

    i try to put it out with the end of my lighter but it doesnt work.:mad:

    Covering the bowl takes away the oxygen from the cherry.

    I usually stick a coin over mine. Water also works really well

    I never had a problem using the lighter method. Normally I push the bowl down to suffocate the cherry.

    Yeah, cover the bowl with something. thumb works wonderfully but hurts a little, I'm relatively sure I've done some permanent damage burning my thumb every single night the past few months

    With bowls cover it with your hand so it cuts off the oxygen or use like a piece of wood or something.With a j, you can put out a cherry by putting a cup over it while it lays on a flat surface.

    Clearing the bowl usually does the job ;) I can't stand smoking half smoked bowls.

    covering works. you can also exhale onto it. the lack of oxygen will put it out. :hippie:

    If your talking bowl/stem I just use my pinky, it doesn't hurt so don't worry. But, if its a J/B i would just ash it like a cig
