How to measure PPM on the PH scale?

  1. I'm trying to see where my local tap water is at witha TDS reader...it measures in PPM ( parts per million) I get a number of 134 ppm. How do I interpret this on the PH scale? Thanks.

  2. The number you get (134) means that there are some minerals in your water, not a significant amount but moderate. Your pH is an entirely different measurement, but would probably be basic or higher than pure water (reverse osmosis or distilled for instance). There is really no way to tell your pH without a pH meter. The drops or strips with color coding get you close, but don't tell the actual number.

  3. Same way you measure height on a thermometer...

  4. I laughed for at least 5 minutes.
