Alright first of all im 19 and already have my career(im a greenhouse worker and a floral designer). But weed is pretty pricey and i don't really trust whats out there. A lot of shady dealers out there. Now that that is out of the way on to the game plan. I plan to use energy efficient LEDs, use a CO2 filter, a few small fans, and place a towel under the door so there is no chance of strange smells or light leaks. Ill be growing it in my closet and due to the energy efficient lights the energy bill wont go up by more then a few bucks a month(i triple checked what the cost would be per month during each cycle). I plan on putting a lock on the door. I have thought essentially everything through. I know there are risks for my parents but i do not plan on selling and ive told no one of my plans(well except on here lol). Im very cautious. But i wanna hear some imput and thoughts on my plan.
Don't grow in your parents house. That is a terrible idea and they can get in loads of trouble for it.
Yea my parents were only pissed at me for smoking weed while living with them because I kept it in their house -> them getting the long dick of the law if I ever got caught. So don't do it without their consent which I'm assuming means don't do it. Also keep in mind growing is a felony in most places so its a lot more serious than just keeping your stash under your bed or whatever. If you still want to grow invest that time and energy into finding a nice secluded spot for an outdoor grow. Or even find a friend who owns their own place and is also down for a grow. E: or maybe its time you bought/rented your own pad.
I understand the idea of wanting to know what you're paying for and smoking, but that knowledge isn't worth jamming up your parents if your grow room ever gets discovered. Grow at a friend's house, rent your own or just buy local weed.
Wow the nerve it would take to try to get that by my mom. I have started seedlings in my closet to go outside but a full operation grow would never work. And a bud plant stinks

And a bud plant stinks[/quote] This. I started seeds and had them under my bed (my first and only grow, they all died ) but I was nervous as fuck the entire time. Even when I brought them outside I was paranoid. I considered starting a closet grow with the new seeds I bought but really, its not worth it. I'm just waiting for the next outdoor season. If you can't afford weed or don't have a reliable source, perhaps you should just take a break and save some cash. Then you can move out and grow in your own place with less worry.
I live in new jersey and here it is legal for medicinal use. I have a valid excuse for having a marijuana card. Should i play it by the books and get a medicinal marijuana card? would there be a way to do that without the parentals knowing?
Energy efficient LED light? Are you talking about those 18w and 35w panels? You'll need about 4 of those to have a successful grow. And the towel under the door method will not completely hide the smell once the plants start to flower. Your parents WILL smell that shit outside your room guaranteed!!!

Why would you risk doing it illegally if you can get a medical card? lol. If you're 19 then your parents have no right to view any medical records so as long as they don't see any mail regarding your card you should be fine. They could still find your grow if its in your closet though, then you'd be fucked.
When I grow outdoors in my backyard I can smell it in my driveway in my front yard. When I grow indoors I can smell it through the hallways and closer towards flowering my whole house smells. So no, there is no way possible that this will work for you.
This is better than "How do I keep my teenage son out of my grow/stash?" That one's not far off for me.
A CO2 scrubber is suppose to keep the smells away even during flowering. Ive checked a bunch of websites and forums and they seem to work even for the dankest of weed.
It simply cannot be done. I own the SuperCloset systems and it didn't smell like weed but there was still a constant Humm.. And the smell of fresh growth like if you walked into a forest after it rains
