How to get by without my precious herb?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Canadianbuds42O, Jan 10, 2012.

1. After 7 years of smoking a joint as a nightcap my streak has come to an end. I feel as though I have lost a close friend, an inspiration and confidant. I was hired as a table games dealer at a casino that opens in April and I have a drug test at the end of February. I've replaced my herb with a glass of wine but it does not compare to my sweet, sweet, mary jane. Just wondering if any of my fellow smokers have ever had this problem and what you did to pass the time. Thanks!

2. Havent smoked in like 4 months, its not that hard dood. Just get a new hobby or some shit.

3. just get pasted the first week or 2 keep youself busy start working out i run every other moring so i get a runners high lol

4. Get some rehab

5. I feel you man. The first week is the hardest part.

6. Lol are you from NY?

7. You trolling man? Or are you serious? :devious::eek::smoke:

Op just do something else productive and you won't want to smoke. I highly suggest picking up working out, but that's only if you enjoy it. Do something you really enjoy:)

8. Exercise. It works when quitting anything.

9. As all the above have said, the first week or two is the hardest part.
I feel you man, I just started a month T-break.

10. Dude just put up with it. I would rather just hold off on the bud and get this cool ass job, and then resume after the initial testing and everything. Just don't give them any reason to believe you were smoking when you get hired also and you'll be fine.

11. Exercise, read a good book, play a video game, rent some movies. Really anything that will take your mind off weed.

12. Yo since you used a joint as a nightcap it'll be super hard to get to sleep for a week or so. I'd have a few beers on standby in this case........ unless you like sleeping pills or somthing.

besides that I would just find things to occupy time. whatever you like. expercise will help release natural drugs.... endorphins and such.

This :) I workout 4-5 times a week, get your adrenaline pumping.

14. I think sleeping pills and working out should get me through this.

Thanks for the help guys

15. Just be careful with the sleeping pills man. :D

16. The first week is the hardest, the second week goes a bit smoother, by the 3rd week you'll be fine, ive been through it all as well man, anyone that has been a daily smoker for a period of time will tell you that every day that goes by gets easier

17.
Get some rehab
Don't try to make him go to rehab. He'll say no no no.

18. As long as u diddnt have insomnia beforehand, melatonin and velarian root 45 min b4 bed to help u sleep for the 1st 1-2 wks, just make sure itstaken at the same time errnight or it can fuck up ur circadian(sp?) cycle. and stop taking it after 1-2 wks so u can get ur cycle in balance, get a routine schedule everyday and workout/ do stimulating activities.
