Hello. I recently got my first car and the audio sounds like complete trash. I'm on a really low budget, like $100. What can I afford to improve the sound?
Buy some nice speakers. Save up, buy and buy a good amp..
Would you have any recommendations? I really have no idea, never purchased speakers before. Do they have to be a certain size or certain watts or something?
Go to the junkyard and take the bose system out of a late 90s maxima
I cant tell if your serious
If i was you I would get a new headunit first from ebay. You can probably get a decent used one for $40 but I haven't looked. Then get a $60 pair of front coaxial speakers

I'm only trying to get two okay speakers in the back.
If the front wires are fucked up then you could just get rear speakers it will work the same
Do you know any speakers that are not real expensive that still sound good? And should I get a certain size or something? I just wanna make sure there compatible.
Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, LCD TV, Digital Cameras Thats a good site and if you go to the outfit my car section it will tell you what you need and what will fit. Im not to sure about which exact speakers but if you look around on there at the reviews that should tell you alot. Car Audio Stereo - Car Subwoofers - Car Amplifiers and Speakers is also good.
Why the fuck would I be kidding? Go to the Nissan dealer and tell me how expensive those speakers were when new and then tell me how else to get speakers that expensive for $10 at the junkyard.

Thanks so much.
first thing you should buy is a new headunit. one that actually lets you change your eq your self. then speakers, then subs and amps. i would also run a amp to the speakers once you get them in. its not needed but will 99% of the time make them sound better. but a headunit does wonders. my stock head unit sounded like shit then i got my tv and was able to tune it my truck sounds 1000 times better with stock speakers.

Its a shit brand though. My speakers are damaged, like they have hella crackling and shit. So I think I will go with speakers first because I don't think even the best headunit can make old defective speakers sound good
if u get the bose out of a junker you need most of the time the headunit, amp and speakers
Would it fit in my car? 1996 nissan sentra gxe
