How to do normal activities while high?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by wideawakebored, Mar 12, 2011.

  1. I smoke about once or twice a week. When i get high i find that i can't do normal things as i would like. Even if i smoke a .2 out of my bong i find I'm so slow and zoned out that its hard to do things. I just wanna do normal things while high. Any ideas on how to become motivated and do normal activities?

    Thanks :hello:

  2. Throw yourself into them, join sober people and don't make it obvious you are high, this works for me.

  3. Sounds like you just started smoking. IMO, don't smoke in a house or chill in a friends house. Try smoking activities outdoors or at a concert! Move that body and get use to that feeling of being high. :smoke:

  4. The thing is, is that i'm quite obvious that i'm high

  5. Utilize drips, febreeze, gum and sensibilities.

  6. For me, very different strains and/or types of hash mean that I can or can't do things while I'm high. I've just finished some Super Kush a friend of mine grew. It's a mostly indica strain that gives me SERIOUS couch-lock. Even the morning after when I wake up I still can't be arsed doing anything but sitting there monging out.

Sativa strains on the other hand I can smoke and then do anything I want. Go out and socialise with people who aren't stoned, clean the house, build a grow room. The same with hash. I live in Spain where hash is plentiful (actually easier to get than weed). With Moroccan Pollen, again I can do anything, go to work, etc. But with Zero-Zero I can't. Caramello is my favourite, but I can't exactly go to work when I've smoked that.

If possible try getting hold of some different strains and seeing which suits you best. Also, I find smoking bongs waaay too strong for my liking. Try smoking spliffs, you might find you prefer it that way.

    Either way...ENJOY!!!

  7. I noticed the same thing. Bud is like alcohol, each strain can affect you differently, just as different brews affect you differently. Tequila may make you want to fight, and beer might chill you out. Find some stuff that mellows you out a little bit and just get out there and enjoy.

  8. New to smoking eh? After you get used to smoking and build up a tolerance, nobody will know the difference.

  9. tolerance. try mids, they give me solid buzz that makes me want to do something, but where as dank you wanna do something but you just dont.
also take that first step it helps. like if your stuck on the coutch make yourself get up and move around then youll be bored standing there so you just forced yourself to go do something haha

  10. Yeah, agreed.

Actually getting up of the sofa is the hardest part. Once you're up and about it's not so bad.

A cup of coffee always helps as well.

  11. Its really not obvious that you are high...and even if you are obvious so what lol. I've been totally blazed in class, I still take notes.

Oh and I agree, cup of coffee to go along with a nicely packed bowl is perfect.

Keep smoking and being high will be less noticeable to others, and easier to do anything you want

  13. so you only smoke weed and tobacco cigarettes? that sucks

  14. also why is this in seasoned tokers? this is obviously an apprentice issue/question.

anyone who's been blazing for awhile can fit in w/ society while high no problem IMO

  15. Buy sun glasses:cool:

  16. In my opinion it's the best way to smoke it. I think smoking with tobacco actually enhances the flavour of the weed. I also enjoy the ritual of taking my time over and rolling very tidy joints.

This side of the pond (the UK and Spain) it's actually far more common to see people rolling joints/spliffs (I'm not sure if our terminology differs on those definitions) than bongs, pipes or blunts.

The other thing is, hash is also far more common over here than in the US and you can't really smoke hash in blunts. I do occasionally smoke hash in a bong.

  17. Take your hands, put them on your face and slap yourself repeatedly while telling yourself. I'm just high. I can do this.
    It's weird, but it works..

  18. You see .... a joint is weed rolled in a paper called a rolling paper .............. :p

Most people here don't use tobacco in a joint (though I do occasionally - I like it better too, but don't do it often since I quit cigarettes and it brings back cravings if I do it too often).

It took me a while to figure out (correct me if I'm wrong) .... Spliff is interchangeable with joint in the UK, but here in the US, spliff means mixed with tobacco.

    .... ?

  19. Yeah a spliff/joint are interchangeable in the UK. Generally rolled with tobacco.

So joint/blunt are interchangeable in the US then? Or am I getting this all wrong?

You lot and your Americanisms. I think it's about time we revoked your independence and taught you how to speak English. While we're at it we'll teach you how to play Rugby, Cricket and Football instead of the girly games like American "Football", Rounders and Netball. ;)

  20. it depends on what you're smoking: first time I got really high was so scary and relaxing at the same time. It was really weird, I was afraid people would notice, but it was alright. That was some strong hash.
Now I have Big Bud and Afghan Dream in my weed/hash bag. I only smoke Afghan Dream to hang out ONLY with my friends or to watch a movie, eating, etc. Big Bud makes me a bit more interactive, but when it starts to wear off I feel really tired and fall asleep easily.
Build some tolerance and you will know what makes weed so special ;)
