How to clean?

  1. Hello Blades!

So I bought my 1st bong yesterday and it came with alot of resin, which is okay with me. I know how to clean pipes and I used 70% alco & Epson Salt, I tried looking up YouTube videos on how to clean but all the bongs are different styles then mine! I cant seem to take out all of the slider like most of you and it's creating a problem because I can't seem to clean the top of it!

Please help me out with this fellow blades,
    Peace  :bongin:
    P.S. I'll post pics

  2. I hope you got that local and not shipped.

The piece coming out of the middle is a male joint that can't be take off. Have you used the piece before?

Personally I use simple green and just fill the whole piece up and let it sit for a couple days or so. You will might need to find a female stopper to be able to fill the whole piece up.

    Good luck.

  3. Just use some ISO and salt on it. Use a paper towel and soak it with ISO to clean the outside of the joint. Than clean the rig like normal. Btw that's an oil rig not a bong.

  4. Yes, I bought it local and I got a good deal out of it, & Yes I used the piece today, I rips so good hahah
    Thanks for the advice!

  5. Alcohol, Salt, Soak, Shake
then give it a rinse, and you're good to go. I use something with a really high alcohol percentage, and salt with big grains to really get the resin chunks off.

  6. It's actually a mix, I have a bong attachment and when I have oils I have a oil attachment.. Like to clean the rig just fill it up and let it sit?
    -Thanks for the advice man

  7. Well with salt and iso you're gonna have to shake it to get all the stuff off. Something like grunge off or simple green you would let sit for awhile depending how bad it is.

  8. Yeah your gonna need to just cover the holes with your fingers and shake it up for about 30 seconds to a minute. It all should come off than use hot water to rinse it out a few times. Fastest and easiest method in my opinion.

  9. UPDATE:
Iso and Alcohol Kinda worked only got smooke off the chucks off.. I'm going to soak it in Simple Green for 24 hours now and see how that goes!

  10. Just get grunge off.  I used to hate cleaning my glass until I bought this stuff, now it's easy to clean my glass everyday.

  11. grunge off works for gettin the stuff off that iso wont just make sure to rinse real well

  12. I used to use grunge off but have since switched to simple green.

I don't see any difference persoanlly. ~$14 for a bottle vs ~$10 for a whole gallon is what made me switch. Just make sure you rinse with warm/hot water to get all the cleaner out.

My friend still uses grunge off though, I think it probably works faster.

  13. grunge off is a bit stronger then simply green  but both products are made for stronger stuff then some resin build up so cheaper is probably better

Yeah like I said I think grunge off works faster, but I have a few pieces so I can afford to wait the extra time.

They do look different for sure. I guess saying I don't see a difference was kinda dumb lol, but I meant as far as how clean they make my pieces.
