How to Clean a Perc?

    I've got a perc that needs cleaning.

    How do you do it? Is it pretty much just like cleaning a regular bong?

    I copied and pasted my response on another thread that was asking how to clean percs.

    " A lot of patience. I used 91 percent iso and a mixture of table salt and epsom salt. You really need to shake for a while to get the salt in the percs. Also what I did was I put the salt in the beaker first and then turned it upside down so the salt would go into the perc and then i would flip the bong back over and then put a bit of iso and then do the same. Once the iso and the salt entered the perc chamber I would shake for about 10 min or so or until I got the gunk/res out and then used warm water and poured in from the top. This usuallly got whatever was in it out. Now you may need to do it several times and or need to let the alcohol sit in the chambers for 30 min or even more for longer periods of time depending on the build up. If that even doesnt do it I bought some Ajax orange soap and i poured it in from the top and then poured hot water and then let the entire bong soak for 30 min. I drained out the water and put more water in and usually more bubbles would form. I kept on doing that till the gunk and the bubbles went away. Hope this helped. I originally thought it was impossible and started getting worried but it can definitely be done. I got one with three percs..... "

    Also I forgot to mention that I once I got the salt and the iso in the first perc I would do the same for the top one.
