How to best conceal..

  1. I am about to start growing outdoors for the first time, the seeds are germinating right now! The position where i am growing them is around the corner in an area noone seems to go, however, do marijuana plants blend into their surroundings of oher bushes?
And also, i do not know what type of seeds they are, as i jus got them from a dealer, if they are sativa, how do i make them short, bushy and stlll prosperous without them being twenty feet tall??

    thankyou :):smoke:

  2. Hopefully you are in the southern hermisphere otherwise you are gonna have one heck of a shortlived grow with winter around the corner. also, this area you speak of, IF that plant were to make it to flowering you realize the smell would be noticed for HUNDREDS of feet in any direction?? people wont have to see it to know its there, they will smellllll it.

  3. yes i am in the southern hemishpehere lol :)
people smoke weed in my street so i think they will just assume it is them, rather then me growing. Is there a way to minimize smell? And also will it blend in amongst bushes? and how can i keep a possily 20ft tall sativa short?

    thx for the reply

  4. you are truly underestimating just how much a mature marijuana plant stinks. its unlikely you have a pure sativa from bagseed, I wouldnt worry about your plant being over 6 ft tall even.

as far as blending in, I have walked through the woods and barely noticed weed plants, they are plants, they look like plants, yes they blend in, but they also stick out. the smell will give it away I promise. people will notice a constant smell everytime they walk by that certain spot, it will only be a matter of time.

  5. i was actually born without a sense of smell haha. so yes i wouldnt know...
is there a way to conceal this smell? also it next to a busy road, but hidden, would car exhaust help mask it?

  6. Growing MJ and burning MJ don't smell the same. I agree that you don't want to be growing close to other people because they will smell it.

  7. can i just plant lavender or some shit near it lol?

  8. No. Odors don't cancel each other out, they add to each other.

Flowering bud is a heavy, pungent, thick, unmistakable smell. With indoor grows you can remove the odor from the air with a carbon filter, an air-sealed grow space, and good ventilation. With indoor grows you need lots of distance from other people's noses.

  9. is the outdoor grow smell easily identifiable as weed to people who have never been around a flowerig plant before?

  10. Yes, that's what I meant by "unmistakable." Maybe if they've never smelled weed at all, but even then it would be a very noticeable smell.

Ever get a really fresh bag of pot and stick your nose down inside and breath it in long and deep? That is pretty much how a flowering plant will smell, but stronger.

  11. Think fresh skunk spray that pungent odor thang hangs and linges the best way to keep a grow from being busted or taken by another eager smoker is to do it in a spot out of the way and away from where ppl will smell it 100-300 feet away depending on how many and how big they get fy first grow was 40 outdoor and I could smell it like a full mile down the logging trail where I did it I thought for sure I was hooped but other then wildlife it went unnoticed but yea outdoor grows in a resedential area that you know has other smokers who would happily rape a plant for free nuggets.

  12. Man that's a great way to describe a GREAT smell :D

One thing for the OP to take in mind is not just conceal the smell; but concealing the plants in general. You mentioning people smoke in the open on the street and covering it up with exhaust like your going to grow in a ditch on the side of the road. Just take in mind as said by Dillirious that your neighborhood stoners may come ripping the freshly grown FREE weed when ready.

I would really look for a place out of the way that is not labeled as around the corner in a place no one seems to go. You want a place that NO one goes. Good way to test this is leave some cheap sunglasses or some cash laying in your grow area for a week and return to see if its still there. Use nature to shelter your grow and insure you check your the security threads for outdoor grows.

    Good luck man!
