So for my English 101 class my teacher asked the class to write up a procedure paper describing anything that we wanted. I was sitting around at 11pm trying to figure out what i was going to write about while i was on Grasscity and figured i would take what i enjoy to do and write about it for this paper. So tell me what you think this is the paper I wrote. How to become an Indoor Gardener \tIf you have ever wanted to be able to grow your garden all year round without having to worry about the harsh climates at different times in the year. Moving your garden from your typical outside garden into a room in your house or a large cabinet that you can use depending on the type of plants you are looking to garden, and how much room you need for them to be healthy. Also what type of lighting would you like to use for your garden there are many different types of lights, and they all compensate for one another in different types of gardens depending on the gardeners needs. Another key step we need to remember is setting up an intake and exhaust system for fresh air to filter throughout your garden. Now that i have went over the basics of setting up your own indoor garden. I would like to get into more detail about the certain steps you must plan before creating your very own indoor garden. \tThere are 3 popular types of lighting that gardeners seem to enjoy using for there gardens. The first and most cost efficient lighting source is Compact Fluorescent Lights also known as CFL's. CFL's are very good for small areas because of the low amount of heat that they produce. They come in handy when you notice a part of your garden is not receiving the same amount of light as another you could easily plug in a CFL in that area. In gardens where there are many plants next to each other you are able to put these lights very close to the canopy of the plants without having to worry about burning them. Then next two types of lights sort of go hand in hand with flowers because of the different spectrum they produce that helps the flower induce different stages of its growth period which are vegetation and flowering. These two types of lights are the high pressure sodium "HPS" light and the metal halide "MH" light. The HPS light is the ideal light for larger gardens. It mimics the spectrum of light that is best for a plant in its vegetative stage. The MH light is the ideal light for larger gardens also. It mimics the spectrum of light that is best for a plant in its flowering stage. Both of the above types of lights produce a large amount of heat so when using these lights a good ventilation system is also unavoidable. \tAs we have already discussed the types of lights that are commonly used for indoor gardens. I would like to get into more detail about how to keep those gardens and their lights nice and cool, Also on how to keep your garden with a fresh supply of carbon dioxide which is needed for beautiful plants. The first way rule of good ventilation system is to have an intake and exhaust fan that supplies and extracts air from the garden. A rule of thumb of mine is to always place the intake fan at the bottom of the garden near the pots and the exhaust fan should be placed near the lights above the plants since the whole point is removing the hot air. Another bonus of having an intake near the plants is the constant air flow helps the stems of the plants grow thicker and more healthy. After you have decided how you want to get air in and out. We need to now decide how much air we would like to get in and out. Which leads us to picking out the correct size of fans. Many gardeners using small computer fans and some use industrial sized air conditioning systems depending on your gardens needs. \tThere are also a few more small tools that could be handy around a indoor garden such as timers for the lights so you could have the plants on a schedule depending on what is good for them. Which can defiantly increase the quality of the plant. A second good tool to have convenient is a thermometer or even a digital machine that reads temperature and also humidity levels because mold is never a good thing to have around. Different sorts of fertilizers and nutrients for different types of plants, gardeners, and growing methods are always great other items to have around. \tI hope my explanation on how to become an indoor gardener has opened up your eyes to whole new world of gardening at your fingers tips that will help you grow the most healthy plants you have ever grown outside. Also not having to rely on mother nature for enough sun light or water when you could easily monitor the perfect amount of sunlight and nutrients in a controlled environment.
It's English, so I'm not taking too much notice of content, but here's a few grammatical changes I'd make: Suggest bold to be replaced by (bracketed) Mac's right about the lights; MH for veg, HPS for flower (blue passage) I've had a little go at the red passage, but would probably advise that you reword it if possible. HTH, not trying to be a pedant. (don't need to try) Gluck.
hey thanks man it was late and i was really stoned and honestly just wanted to get something that looked legit in. i coulda swore i was correct about the lights i even looked back on a forum and it said that but it must have been my mind playing tricks on me to get me to go to sleep
