because my friends bong broke recently and he took a picture of how thin the glass at the base was...i was surprised to see that it was even thinner than a quarter! so how thick should the base be? The bong was Flo which i read that it is apparently blown here in NY
Its the nature of the beast when it comes to beaker bottoms, When they blow the glass out it stretches an gets thinner. The design overall isn't a weak one but you still have to be careful. I've seen more broken bases on straight tubes than beaker bottoms.
