Im sort of new here and im just wondering if anyones ever been busted through this board? Does grasscity give away IP addresses? Im not about to post pics of 3lbs or anything but im just wondering because its good to know.
It's as safe as you make it man. If you want to be really safe just don't post pictures. They won't come to your house because you said you were high. As one member said "Remember this is an open forum, do you want to incriminate yoursef"
I used to go by a different username here on the boards and generally it was fine. The cops aren't gunna be bustin down your door or anything like that. The only issue I had was I used the same username I use for a few other things which my parents coincidentally knew and found some posts off a google search. But besides that its all up to what you post.
That is exactly why I go by this Username... everywhere else on the web I have another SN I use, but it's so unique that plugging it into google only returns stuff that I've posted. However, I chose Jonsi for this message board specifically because he is the singer of my favorite band, and so if googled, it returns stuff about the band first, before me. My biggest worry isn't police, but rather employers. I've read an article recently that employers are searching MySpace for names, and going off of that... and so yeah, this name is only used on this board to thwart any searches by potential employers. But just remember the servers for this website are based in Amsterdam, take such information how you will,. but i feel more secure on this board then any other marijuana forum

Absolutely not! No way!!! Plus, the City is based out of the Netherlands so it's under their laws and not the laws of anyone else. However, I do want to add that everyone is responsible for what they post here. We won't delete all of your posting history for you if you have a personal security issue. If you have any hesitations about what you may post due to a possible future issue with security then my suggestion is to watch what you post.
this forum is quite safe for the reason RMJL said that the server are based in the netherlands so they can never be seized by anyone cause in the netherland none of it is against the law so you have no need to worry about the police busting you cause you posted here but like a few people said before you may have to worry about family member you dont want to know and employers but as long as you use a different user name you should be good i have been here like 8 or 9 months and i have posted quite a bit of stuff and nothing has happened and i am pretty sure never will
