How often should i water?

  1. I have been researching and everybody does something different. I'm going to have at least 12 different spots scattered all over and their is no way I can get out there everyday. So would every other day be fine? Or even every 2 day?

  2. Only your plants can tell you when they need water. Questions to vague anyways, outdoors I assume, are they 7ft monsters? 2 ft bushes? Soil?

  3. They're not growing yet and I plan on using Fox Farm then when they get big enough I'm going to transplant them into the ground.

  4. When they're in pots, pick them up and water by weight. Once you do it a couple times you'll understand when they "feel" wet or dry. When you transplant them outdoors, your best bet is to dig your holes plenty deep and hopefully you won't have to water as often, especially if mother nature cooperates.

  5. This is one of those things that you have to learn by experience. In the early spring you can get away with watering once a week. Maybe less if it rains. In the hot summer you will likely need to water every day if in pots, and maybe every other day to every three days when in the ground. That's only during the hottest months though.

It all depends on the temps, how fast your soil drains and dries, and how big and thirsty your plants are. Just do your best and you will figure it out in no time.
