I live in Canada and just out of curiousity im wondering if i was caught with 3 marijuana plants..how much trouble would i be looking at with the law. Ive tried researching online but havent found much.. would it be jail time? or just a fine
Probably the same amount of trouble as someone being caught with a few ounces of weed.. Depending on where you live that could be either nothing, or a criminal record. As it stands currently you will not get any jail time for having three plants. However, our conservative government is in the process of passing bill C-15 which will impose mandatory minimum jail sentences for growing 5 plants or more (was originally 1 plant). There is a high probability this bill will pass due to liberal support, so as long as you grow no more then 4 plants your golden.
