how much stretch?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by tommyT2018, Feb 11, 2019.

  1. how much will these plants stretch? they are lemon haze clones. ive trained them out so their small and flat id say they were 50cm wide and 10cm tall. on the internet it says they can stretch up to 200% but i am unsure where to measure from[IMG]

  5. Out of necessity I kept doing some LST and bottom pruning but pretty much let them roll, some staking of larger branches due to bud weight.... Your going to like the harvest...

  7. im hoping i like the harvest i got 9.6 average per plant last time but i did it different.. i trained them out abit and let them grow up to about 30cm before i flowered and scrogged them as they came up. the reason im doing it this way is because last time the bottoms didnt get enough light even with lollypopping ended up with lots of crap

If you get a top that is out of control you can crush the stem and bend over even a stiff top that would normally snap. Pull the top with one hand and start pinching-crushing the stem where it needs to bend. Can crush a long section if needed to force a top over.

Use pliers if it's an old woody stem your thumb isn't enough for.

The crush acts as a strain relief and fluids will continue to flow and the top will keep growing just sideways.
A snap usually mean the top is deprived of fluids and will die. I use this trick to keep unruly Sativa plants below the top of my 6 foot walls.

Legal here but I still don't want them visible from the side or street.
I wind up with inverted L shape plants with 2 or 3 feet of the top running horizontally along the wall top.

  14. I grew some Crockett Tangie that reeked of orange but plants were finicky and didn't put on much weight, I crossed it with a Greenpoint seeds orange blossom, friends said it has "too much orange flavor" what ever that means lol but I haven't found a Tangie I don't like, you have any stand outs?

  15. My plants didn't stretch much. I'm like 2-3 weeks into flower. They prolly grew a few inches. But not 50%-200% that's for sure
    :(

  16. how long did you veg them pal?

  17. How much stretch?

    You never know...

Also training them and adding a bit of stress during the stretch can greatly reduce it if you're looking for a shorter stretch.
