Sorry, I know for a fact that this has been answered multiple times, but my google searches and searches on this forum haven't turned anything up. I am looking at a 2' x 3' flood tray for Ebb and Flow and was wondering how many plants I could squeeze in there without root bind. I am thinking four plants wouldn't be unreasonable. Any other opinions? DD
I think four would be about right. I would be less concerned with root bind and more focused on competition for light. Placing them about 9"-11" apart would keep the roots reasonably seperate, but remember they will fill up a 2'x3' area without too much trouble. Be sure you have adequate lighting.
are you talkike a bubble bucket that can hold like more than one plant? Dwc? Because i know a few ppl that have used big rubbermaids in the past and cut holes for netpots. it will grow 2 4' plants beautifly but any more than that in there will be a fight for space plus will have a lot more odds for bud rot and a lot of the branches will be tangled. i dobt you would have to worry about the roots tho. ive seen people grow dwc in 5 inch cylinders that went down like 4' and had it work somehow.
no, ebb and flow not a bubble bucket. Thanks for your ideas guys. They would be under a 400 watt light
