How Much Should I Price This Used Hisi At?

Discussion in 'Bongs, Dab Rigs, Bubblers, Water Pipes' started by derponmyface, Jun 1, 2013.

  1. This bong and skillet originally cost $300. After some time of use we were able to restore it and it looks pretty good if you ask me, although the skillet has yet to be cleaned and the bowl has some gunk. I'm trying to sell it on Craigslist with no luck, I had it priced at $175 but i'm only get offers for ~140. Where else should I be posting an ad? What is a fair price?

  2. If you have it posted at $175, people will offer you less. That's a general rule of thumb for Craigslist. If you want to sell it for that price, try listing it for $200. People will try and haggle you down and think they're getting a deal when you're actually getting the price you want.

  5. I don't know if that's cunning or common sense.  I thought everyone knew that when you negotiate prices the first offer will low ball you and the seller will post prices higher than what he really wants.

At any rate, the proper price just depends.  If you NEED the money immediately to pay a bill or something...then you're probably going to take a bigger hit.  Craigslist is a good place to list a piece like that, you aren't going to get any offers at BM for Hisi, maybe a couple offers at under 100.  You probably won't get much off nuggetry either.

Considering you cannot get the whole piece clean, there's no way I'd even consider buying it.  Get it CLEAN, if there is resin on the piece it is illegal to sell.  GET IT CLEAN.  Buy grunge off soak if for a day or 2.
