In milligrams how much magnesium would be harmful to a plant? My plant is displaying signs of a magnesium deficiency. Mild necrosis in between veins, curled leaves, brown burn like blotches in between veins. 5 grams of straight magnesium treats 20 gallons. How much treats one gallon (5/20=.25) .25 of straight magnesium totaling at 80 milligrams of magnesium, so .25 divided out of 4 gives me 16mg, 4/.25=16 milligrams of magnesium. Will that be to much for her?
depends on the size of the plant. but i would never go over 200ppm, i dont know how many milligrams that is to what brand. hard question. i know u can use up to, 2 tbls of epsion salt to treat, if ur using a cal-mag follow directions
you could apply dolomitic lime CaMg(CO3)2) as well to treat this deficiency. it will increase the CEC of the soil making more nutrients available to your plant and also treat it with Mg and Ca
Epsom salts will do trick also, check you ph first. most of the time deficiencies show up when ph is outa-wack. soil 6.5 6.8 is good.
