how much light does a mother plant require?

    I have a buddy who is giving me a few clones and I want to keep one as a mother plant but would like to know if I need to keep it under MH or would T-5's work? I ask cause I have a set of t5's from my fishtank I dont use and would prefer not to have a mh and hps going all the time.

    im pretty sure mother plants dont require too much light because you are just maintaining a plant, not trying for vigorous growth as you would be growing a plant to harvest. id say the t5s are fine.

    I agree the t-5's will be fine and maybe also throw in 2 cfls
