How much does the heart speed up on edibles compared to smoking?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by ZnOT, Jul 3, 2017.

  1. I would like to know how much does the heart rate goes up when eating compared to smoking.

When I smoke I usually get to 150-160bpm the first 10 minutes then it goes down to 120-130 and stays like that for most of the high (1h or so).

Does the high heart rate stay during all the time you feel the effects on edibles? If so, it's higher than when smoking? Similar?

    I mean, I don't want to stay 1 or 2h with 150bpm, but being 3-4h on 120bpm wouldn't be that bad.

    Oh another quick question:

When you do smoke, does heart rate go up the more you smoke or there's a limit and then if you get more high your heart rate doesn't speed up more?

  3. It's is proven that smoking cannabis does raise your heart rate a bit. Unless you had heart or high blood pressure you shouldn't worry. I would try not to over think, like my chest hurt after I smoked . I freaked out then realised it was just gas.

  4. Only on edibles will you call the cops on yourself because you think you are dying. Other than that your gut should let you know.

  5. Haha I do this when I get really high

  6. Sure it raises when smoking but how does that compare to eating?

  7. So... Does that mean it's worse on edibles?

I know the effect is stronger but I am just wondering for the heart rate not for the paranoia effect.

  8. Stop taking your heart rate when you smoke.

  9. You are morw likely to actually die from the food you ate because you can't cook for shit. Has nothing to do with weed in your food if you don't know what you are consuming.

Weed doesn't make you smarter....it shows you the light, the truth, the way...

  10. Need to do it, I had surgery

  11. Again, had surgery that's why I need it not to speed up my heart a lot.
