How much does a nice, unique glass bowl generally cost?

    Looking to buy a nice bowl at a smoke shop or something, how much would I have to pay for something like this:

    I love the way the chamber splits, how much would something like that be and how hard would it be to find?

    That sort of piece wouldn't cost too much, im thinking in the $20 to $40 range depending on how thick you get it. Im sure you can find something like it at a local head shop, pretty sure ive seen one in a shop near my place

    Also, unrelated question, if I were to store a stash in a compartment in one of my guitar cases, would the whole case start smelling like bud or just the compartment? Should I remove the silica pouches?

    Been there, and your guitar case will most likely smell like weed. Pretty much anything you put it in will smell a bit like it, so try to put it somewhere that no one will happen to walk by and get a whiff. Keeping your piece clean will help out with the smell too, and it will help it look as good as new :smoke:

    hmmm....

    What about in the back of my amp in a pouch stuffed with dryer sheets? My amp has board going across the bottom, so there's a little compartment (tube amps ftw)... However that's in the middle of the living room and my dog may give it some attention...

    It pretty much comes down to two price ranges...

    China/Asian Glass - Cheap factory made glass pipes from Asian countries.

    U.S/German/HandMade - Good quality durable, handmade, treated glass. Much more durable.

    For China/Asian you can look about $20-$50(Many may go above this but for something like that thats probably close.)

    For "Good Glass" about $40-$120(unless by a specific artist or very intricate, then you could be looking up to $300)

    These are based on the two head shops in my area...

    yeah, that could work, however i dont know about it being in the living room, especially if your parents dont approve of the herb. Back when i was in high school i had my dogs find my weed a couple of times and actually bring it to my mom.. shit was ridiculous.. but anyways, one thing ive done in the past is wrap my bowl up in a lot of plastic wrap really tightly and i found that it helps a bit with the smell. Keeping it clean is the key though ;)

    Yeah, the goal is to HIDE it from my parents lol, and my dog is some kind of hound so I'd be quite fucked. Hiding the bowl would be easy, it's the bud that causes issues..

    If your guitar case has a lock on it there shouldn't be any problems. I stash my stuff in an old backpack though, keep your bud in a box/grinder and wrap any pieces up in a sock and you should be fine!!! :D Very nice piece by the way love the design. I'd say 30-40 would be a good price for that, idk how big it is though, if it's smaller then around 20 would be appropriate.

    If you have a dresser, you can actually take out the bottom drawers and there is usually enough room under there to stash most of your stuff.

    Also, about being able to tell where it was made, you will know my friend. A cheap china glass bowl will be very thin, and just holding it you will be able to tell if you drop it once its gone. A better, thicker bowl will be a bit heavier and more sturdy looking.

    If the glass is thin in the first place you shouldnt buy it, I know from experience too much shit can happen when you have a bunch of stoned fools passin around a bowl... If you get a delicate piece make it a personal thing, and I try to never bring my own pieces in the first place I find it easier to not have things on me when I'm out and about, they don't break and if the five-o gets involved you have nothing to worry about.... jusayin

    So, when I head to a local head shop soon, will the bowls just be lined up in a case? No branding or anything? If there's branding, what are some good domestic makers to look for? I want quality made and I don't want to support shitty cheap labor.


    Also, I should be able to ask to look at it closely, right? Like that article says, I want to look closely at the bowl hole to make sure it won't fuck my lungs.

    You've never been in a smokeshop? :p Yes if they don't let you look at the bowl then don't shop there, they wont let you put your mouth on it usually but you can check it out, and yea glass is always behind glass lined up nice for you. Quality brands usually have some kind of imprint in the glass or a Brand sticker on it. I got a khaos glass steamroller that has Khaos etched into it with their logo shroom its really nice :p

    i have a dresser, but will it smell like weed? Also, what kind of box can I use to store it in? If I can't find a box, can I just leave the weed in there in a plastic bag?

    Sorry for all the questions, trying to stop being reliant on friends to get high lol

    If you can't tell the difference between ceramic and glass by holding it then stop smoking.... trust me you should'nt have any problems....... Ceramic is hardened clay and rough while glass is smooth and hard.
