I'm planning on doing a huge outdoor grow in the woods behind my house, thinking of using mainly big bud and first girl, and maybe even some bagseeds just to see what happens. I had it all figured out and everything was sqaured away, but now after reading more, I understand that the plants smell like marijuana. I'm just wondering how much do they smell? Like enough for my neighbors, prolly 100yds away from the prospect grow site to smell anything? Thanks for any info, o yeah, I live in New England, so any other ideas on good indicia strains would be swell, lol, thanks.
i'm pretty sure big bud likes to get skunky. in general, if you want a stealthy grow, indicas are a bad choice. sativas don't get as stinky. a really nice stealthy hybrid you should consider is Cinderella 99 (aka C99). she grows fast and compact like a commercial indica/hybrid, but is potent, speedy and trippy like a sativa. she's so trippy she can cause paranoia, which is when i know i'm smoking a real sativa. i'll gladly accept a bit of paranoia for fun trippy sensations and freedom from couchlock. she has a stealthy floral odor and a bit of a pineapple taste. she's related to stonier and skunkier super silver haze & jack herer she's also related to lemony apollo 11 which is more laid back and euphoric without the paranoia. i don't know if A11 gets skunky or not.
You want to do a "huge" grow and you don't even know if plants smell? Scale your aspirations way back, grow small and successully before trying to start a farm.
well when growing outdoors its pretty easy to monitor them i have only watered outdoor plants every few days to a week n nature takes care of the rest as for a good strain try nothrern lights (havnt tried it but i herd its orderless n a indica) but id be more worried about helicoptors because mj has a heat signature that helicopters can detect so its best to put it under a tree but make sure it can still get lots of sun light from each side
Grow a couple plants first. This would obviously be your first grow. Trust me. You dont wanna invest a whole lot in it, and have it turn out to me crap.. Make sure you can pull off a smaller crop and then move on. Good luck. -Tj
