how many watts of fluorescent light do i need for 3 plants? is 4, 26watt CFLs good? if so for how long? thanks
4 would be good for about a month or 2. not long at all if you have the money. spend it on this New Wave 96W 65K/3K 8000 2FT-4 Lamp T5 Fluorescent Grow Light - Plantlighting Hydroponics its the best buy for the buck. you get so many lumas with low heat and both 6000k and 3500k good for veg and bloom you may need to keep a few cfl between the plants to hit up the lower leaves but not much. check out myles' grow journal this site is great with great prices if your looking to upgrade when your plants get to big T5 Fluorescent and Compact Fluorescent Grow Lights - Plantlighting Hydroponics & Grow Lights rule of thumb is 100w per plant. but in the case of T5 high output florecent. they produce ALOT of lumas. cfl will get you by for a while untill you start blooming sure, but your probably going to need 6 or so. depending on your actual set up that is good luck!
