Hi, I'll be growing autoflowers, I was wondering how many plants would be best for a 2.5x2.5x6.5 tent, light is 240W QB from Alibaba. Thank you.
You can try and shove 4 in but they are going to crowd each other if they get to any size at all. Mostly depends on the strain. You can run something like 4 short ryders as they tend to flower early and stay on the smaller side. BNW
I'll be growing more on the sides of Sundae Driver, Wedding Cake, Gelato, Skittles ect.. How about 2 autoflowers in 8 Gallon Pots
Use grow bags ….. I grow 2 plants per 4x8 tent in RDWC systems . I have two twenty inch fans blowing on each plant . And I exceed the required light per square foot . Getting a perfect color spectrum in each growing stage hasn't happened yet . Most to all new growers put to many plants in to small of a area , took me a couple of years to learn this lesson . Super easy for a plant to be 4 foot diameter …. Best of luck
Smart pots are good .I wasn't sure .at first I thought you were going plastic pots . Really it depends on the size of plant you plan on growing . Roots do like to stretch out and normally the bigger the better . I think 7 or 8 gallon fabric grow bags is better . When I used Compost I put my Grow bags in a hot water heater pan and then poured water in the pan and let the compost soak up the water .
Depends on what you want. I recommend 4 if you want variety, 1-2 if you don't care about that. Your tent could do 1 plant with topping and training, and it might eventually fill the whole tent unless it's a small-medium auto. I have 2 tents of similar size, and in one of them I have 4 shorter autos that will be allowed to grow the way they want, plus leaf tucking. The other has 2 plants that will be LSTed. When choosing strain, be careful that height won't become an issue. In hydro, autos can get 7+ ft tall, and usually exceed the breeder's outdoor max height.
With that light in that tent you have enough light to grow as many as you want to cram in there. One 5 to 7 gallon plant. Or two 3 gallon plants. Or 4 two gallon plants. You are going to have light all over the place. So that item is covered. Now all you have to do is figure out how you like to grow. Glad you got the 6.5, good decision. An autflower on max can use about 7 gallons, and that would be one very big plant in there. If you want to be normal and balanced. Two normal autos in 3 gallon containers, one under each board, and if anything goes wrong you have nothing to blame. Also, you can stagger planting with those autos, and start one or two, and then see if you like it crowded, then you can cram a new baby in there. You got it made man, take your time, the world is wide open.
