I am at the end of my first week of my bagseed grow and i was wondering if I should keep my 6 healthy plants or to get rid of some and go with 5 gallon buckets instead on 10in pots. I plan on using lst and i still need to determine the sex of the plants. I dont have room for 6, 5 gallon buckets prob only 4... should i keep the 6 plants or cut them down to the 4 healthiest ones and transplant them into 5 gallon buckets?
but if I don't know the sex until a couple weeks from now ill have to lst them all and thne transplant them and re-lst them all... idk man.. it's a tough choice
have you topped them? topping will help preflower em. that should get sex a tad sooner. and re-lsting them shouldnt be an issue, after a week or so tied in a position, taking the stings off for 5 mins wont be long enough for them to straighten back out.
alright thanks man. i mean theyre only like a week old so i cant really do much let... but ill do it as soo as i can
You have plenty of time. Personally I'd sex them before tossing anything. If you've grown from seed the averages say you're going to lose half. I was in the same position two weeks ago. I just repoted all four of my unsexed plants into the biggest pots I could fit in my cab. That ended up being four 10" pots.
also in my own experience the males are stronger in the veg state so if you cut without sexing you may tend to keep more males then females by the look of the vegling u c what im sayin? ....kinda high but yeah something like that...where am i? lol
thanks for the info. I guess i'll just wait till i can find out the sex and start topping and lsting them as soon as they get a few more nodes on them.
