I have a 9'-9' room covered in mylar , a 1000 watt M/H going in the center . About how many plants can I raise to maturity in this room without adding more lite ? I am a soil grower and was also wondering what size pots the plants should be in at maturity ? Thanks so much all
I dont know about the light question but if you find a couple of good grow guides they should tell you but about I know that you should transplant the plant when it is about 10-14 inches tall. you should put them in at least a 3 gallon pot but try to use 5 or 7 gallon as the roots will have more room to grow and will end up giving you a bigger plant
according to green's bible, i believe a 1000 HID (MH or HPS) can light a space of 6X6, though I'm sure it can go a bit bigger, and supposedly you should give plants starting from seed at least 1x1 space, so six plants? though under a 1000 watt i'm sure, with proper reflection, you could grow 9 to 12 plants in one area, and with a sog grow you could grow even more, but you'd have to have some clones for that.
errrrm no thats not how it works .. if you have 2 areas of 1 square foot it doesnt make 2 square foot ... 2 square foot would be 4 lots of 1 square foot .. and so if thats true about the light being capable of 6 square foot that would make for 36 plants with a 1 square foot area ....
