How many clones can you put under a 150w hps?

    I'm starting a clone cabinet up and I want to put a single 150w hps light in it and was wondering how many clones can I have growing under that light/many watts. The clones are only gonna be under the light until the roots come in, and then there going outside. Thanks

    depends on how big of one you get. they have all different sizes. i would say as many as you could directly under it.

    Easily 40 clones in the right tray.
    CFL's.. like a t5.. are cheaper to run and buy but will cause more stretching of the plant over a HPS

    Alright thanks guys, I'm looking further into a t5...


    But how many can that 150w hps hold?

    And which is better for just growing clones

    Like I said, you can get around 40 rooted underneath a 150w HPS. You could also get a lot under T5's. It's a matter of preference, really.. neither is really all that much "better".
