So what is the average size fan you guys are using for your exhaust fans. I am gonna make a carbon filter, and I am using a 105 dayton cfm fan for exhaust and a regular 20 x 20 window fan for intake, and cooling. Will this exhaust fan be suuficient or do I need a more powerful one. My grow box is about 29Lx35Hx15W. Thanks guys
depends on the lights used, if HID then you need very good air movement for cooling, if cfls you just need enough exaust to circulate in more co2 from outside air EDIT: sry i didnt rly answer your question heh, are those measurments in inches? you need to find out how many cubic feet of air you have inside that space i dunno the math for that, but once you find out you can go 1 1/2 times that for reg air circulation and dbl that for cooling i would say.
i think you have a 9.16 cf or somethign like that in your grow area, if those meaurements were in inches. a couple computer fans should be able to move that out quik and easy, for cooling tho if your lights put off alot of heat you might want a duct goin by the light pulling hot air off it.
Yeah its in inches. The cooling fan is the 20"x20" windo fan blowing right on the lights and plants. I am not worried about the heat so much as the smell, my last grow smelt up my whole house, so this time i want to try the carbon scrubber. I have ak 47 now and have been told it is gonna stink
