It's a lot easier to move in a bunch of grow equipment if you're moving in other stuff with it. It may seem a bit weird if you're moving a bunch of shit in if you've been there for a while. I'd give it a month or two for any weird kind of visits or inspections.
When I moved into my current apartment I actually asked what their maintenance schedules are like. They change out the A/C filter and inspect the system in April and leave me alone the rest of the year . I maintain friendly relations to the maintenance guys and go about my routine as usual. I also asked to be notified in advance if they need to enter the apartment and just said I feel more comfortable having someone home because I have a dog, works like a charm. They have only entered twice, both times with over a weeks notice. Set up a secure grow and go about your daily routines as usual.
I would wait until you moved out of the apartment and into your own, secure place. Any rented property is an elevated risk, apartment especially. Look in the security section of GC, lots of discussion on this.

It will be placed in a closet with no water pipes around or electrical box. And will have ONA gel. Only need about 2 1/2 months with autos and I would be good for months on bud saving me a ton of cash.
OP, if you're set on doing this then I would strongly recommend avoiding any kind of apartment complex. Look for half of a duplex, or one of 3 or 4 apartments in a large house. What you don't need is a maintenance staff or on site management, basically anybody with a set of keys to your place whose job is to sit around and watch the apartments. Find someplace owned by a private citizen as an investment property, preferably who doesn't live there too. They will most likely have a full time job and will be too busy to watch their rentals all the time. Second most important thing I would do is to change the lockset as soon as you move in. You can get one for about $10-20 and they're pretty universal. You can swap everything out in about 1/2 hour with a screwdriver, less if you have a cordless drill. There's nothing suspicious about doing this, after all someone else lived there before you and could have a copy of the old key - then simply 'forget' to give the landlord a copy of the key. They should never even discover that their key doesn't work since they have to give you 24 hours notice before entering (might vary state by state), but you'll have peace of mind knowing you're the only person with access.
My maintenance guy is afraid of dogs so I know he will never come in unless I'm home. My grow room is in a spare bedroom upstairs no waterpipes elect boxes no reason for him to go up there for anything. If u pay ur rent on time they shouldn't bother u for anything

Also, most leases I have signed allow for them to enter unannounced if it is an emergency (e.g., water leaking from your apartment into your downstairs neighbor's)

I kinda am set on doing this sense it will save me thousands of dollars sense all I do is smoke, work, workout and party. There will be no party's at my place though, im located in Texas and need the apartment close to school and work, so worse case if I can't find a privately owned apartments what would you recommend? Also is there a price difference?
Just change your locks, I did to my bedroom where the have no reason to go. Worst thing that happens is you get bitched at cuz they need to get in just in case, but you save your own ass and don't give them that option

I would still have the grow going. That would make it more sketchy right?
Every private apartment i lived in, the owners told me to change the locks, but keep the old one to change back when I moved out. As for putting a lock on your bedroom door, they have no reason to go in there and can't say anything about it anyway. Lets say you have a sex swing in there, there's no reason they would need to see it.

I was kinda thinking 400 with autos so it would be fast and I could stop growing for a bit and have a lot of bud haha
well think about it this way, if you didn't change your locks, he/she would have came right in and discovered it, if you change your locks you may get bitched at for doing so, but they will have never had the opportunity to get in.
Go with a 600, it is the most efficient and cost effective, and you can dim the light down if you wish
They can be dialed down if needed, and more light = more yield usually.
The tent I was looking at is 1.8'x3'x5'
