How long to wait after over-watering to water?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by freegreen, Feb 26, 2010.

  1. I overwatered my very young plants a little, underestimated how well vermiculite works. How long should I leave for them to recover?

They're still currently a little droopy. Haven't watered them in about 3 or 4 days.

    Thanks.

  2. when the top of the soil looks bone dry, stick your finger about half an inch into the soil... if its still dry... water again

  3. Stick your finger in at least 1.5in and it should be dry, also pick up the pot in your hands. Does it feel lighter to you? Look at your plant is it wilting? These plants can deal with a drought much better than a flood.
