How long does it take fertilizer tea to start working?

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by the123321, Jun 25, 2020.

  1. I am planning to make a fertilizer tea with dr earth flower girl dry fertilizer by mixing it in water and let it sit for like 1 day the water plants with it like it details on the bag. How long would it take for the plant to start using the nutrients in the tea for it on there?

  2. I usually start seeing effects from nutrient teas and such after about a week.

  3. There will be some leachable ions that will be immediately available. The rest will need to be broken down and can take a wide time range to break down depending on the amendment, it's mesh size, your soil biology, etc.

  4. As it details on the bag...

"Always mix fertilizer with the soil for maximum results"

Soaking for 24 hours will result in soluble potassium and sulfate, and not much else.

  5. Thanks. I think there may be different kinds of the dr earth flower girl fertilizer. The one I have has details on the bag on how it recommends using it to make a fertilizer tea with it on there.

  7. Thanks. That looks like it. It has the information on the fertilizer tea in the top left. I plan to do top dressing but I plan to use the autopots watering system which is bottom feed so top dressing may not work easy for it. I have read that top dressing often takes like 2 weeks to start working on the plants and was thinking a tea may work faster on the plant for it on there.
