I germinate directly in the soil.
As long as everything is dialled in (Seed not buried too deep/Soil temperature is correct/Soil is damp and not drenched etc) stick a little humidity dome over your planted seed and you should see her pop ground after 2 - 4 days (sometimes a little longer but not usually)

  3. I plant direct into Rapid Rooters. Usually 3 days and they're up.

  5. Usually I soak for 18-24 yes in straight tap water.
Then place in damp paper towel and put in a ziplock (sandwich bag) placed somewhere warm and dark, on top of internet router or DVD players are an excellent choice.
Leave for another 24 hrs, the tap root usually has sprouted for me at this point and then they get put inside a jiffy puck and they break ground 30- 48 hrs after that for me.

  6. I also pre-soak in a glass of water overnight before putting in damp paper towel between a couple of plates. The longest I've had to wait for a seed to pop was five or six days, though they usually pop within 1 or 2. I've heard that old seeds can take a lot longer to germinate.
