Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by KUSH&CRISPS, Aug 8, 2018.

  1. hey guys,
my first post so first id like to say "HELLO" to you all.
my question,i put me beans in to germinate around 24hr ago.
one of them has JUST started to crack through the case but the other is still unchanged.
how long after the root cracks through the casing do i put em in their coco please???
should i leave them until they completley broken the case or plant as soon as i see the root??

  2. I would ideally wait till the taproot is atleast an inch long before planting it. I’m a noob too btw

  3. U can plant anytime u see taproot. I guess a 1/8 inch or longer is better

  4. Cheers bud, I'll have another look@ them in another 24hrs then..
Have the damp paper towel inside a baggy&propergator which is in the cupboard where the heating tank is...
Do u think that will maybe to warm or just leave the propergator in the kitchen@ room temp????

  5. I did room temp on a shelf, inside wet paper towel on a sandwich plate covered with another plate. all sprouted in 24-48hrs.

  6. Personally, I'd put them in soil asap to protect the youngsters (and give it light immediately when the cotyledon pokes through), but I germinate directly in the soil so I dont have a ton of experience with the paper towel method. Just less stress and potential to damage it IMO. Best of luck!

  7. I'd recommend doing it as soon as you see a Taproot come out, about 1/8th inch. The longer you wait, the riskier it gets with her Taproot curling up. If you let the Taproot get long enough to curl in a circle, it's pretty difficult to get the seed to actually live since the Taproot is literally pushing and growing in the opposite direction.
