How long can I expect this weed withdrawal to last?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by 72ogerrabbit, Nov 7, 2012.

  1. Smoked close to every day with a few 5 day T breaks for 3.5 months, before that I didn't smoke at all.

After coming off a 3 day T break I smoked once, then I quit and now I'm on day 8 of my T break. I want to stay off for 1-2 months and I don't have the urge to smoke at all even though I have like 4g left of some dank.

So I know I will be able to stay off for 1-2 months but so far I have had digestion problems, nausea, light headed sometimes(maybe low blood sugar), anxiety, some trouble sleeping, it is getting easier though, and minor head aches.

How much longer should this last?

  2. epic.

its all in your head kid.

  3. the only real side effect that occurs when I stop smoking for a short while is lack of appetite.

soooooo, not long lol. it's in your head, just start exercising or find another hobby and you'll be good :)

Til you dead . . . permanent side effects unless you smoke a swisher sweet, but if you do, and you roll it well, there is a chance Ed McMan could visit your house with one of those big checks for 10,000,000!!!!

  6. all in your head it will pass in due time just uh make sure you keep the weed out of sight or you will continue to think about it i actually recommend people separate their entire life from weed while they are on a break like the old saying goes out of sight out of mind

  7. until it develops into aids man...

  8. 1. eat less junk?
    2. weed is used by patients who suffer from nausea caused by treatments. Everytime you were nauseous, you trated yourself unknowingly (w weed) since now its gone, i guess it s normal to feel a bit off.
    3. Head aches, migraines are a subject scientists don t know enough about (100000 possible causes)
    4. Weed has been shown to reduce anxiety...remove weed and it s normal your anxiety goes up a bit
    5. Weed makes you sleepy....end of story

  9. Digestion problems

    Nausea

Quit worryin about it lol its all in ur head.

  10. like already said its all in ur head, these aren't withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal from weed is maybe lack of appetite and trouble sleeping. If you want to get better i suggest eating right and exercising, thats all you really need. Ive been ona week t break after smoking everyday for the last couple years and the first day i was eating normally and didnt even have trouble sleeping, the only difference was that i wasnt high...........

  11. just wait till you go into a deep depression and become schizo and bipolar. it might also cause your tongue to swell and you can even break out into hives.

wait were talkin about weed.. wtf have you been smoking?

Ignore the people denying withdrawal. Even granny storm crow agrees there is so lets not go there, but from her list the best ways to fight withdrawal is exercise and a good diet. Although the withdrawals shouldn't last much longer than 2 weeks, you can expect agitation, insomnia, anxiety, and lack of appetite. I don't know if aloof your symptoms can be attributed to pot though. When I quit I have a very nice diet, and my regular 1 day workout schedule and I don't notice withdrawals anymore. I think the key is diet tbh. Best of luck mate.

  13. Most of that shit sounds due to your diet, but some people just get headaches more than others. For me it's easier for me to take breaks in the summer since I'm more active, you probably just need to eat better & exercise but I don't know you maybe you have a legit problem but most people I know just eat a regular american diet which isn't good

  14. No, it's not... good lord, why do all you people act like any minor withdrawal symptoms from weed is impossible, just because we love weed so much? :p

Tons of people experience these same issues when they quit smoking. Especially people who are used to smoking regularly.

When I quit for a while, I experience a total lack of appetite, increased irritability, and troubles sleeping.

It's not "all in your head" any more than withdrawal symptoms from quitting cigarettes or caffeine.

Anyway, OP, you've already gone without for 8 days and I think symptoms like these generally only last a couple weeks, so you've got maybe another week left.

In the meantime, try not to eat foods that will be bad for your digestion, and maybe try an over the counter sleep supplement like melatonin to help you get some good rest. :smoking:

  15. Yes and the effects (although minor) just happen to disappear after a week or two without smoking. Yeah no way that has to do with the bud. Anytime anyone says they have "weed withdrawals" everyone jumps all over em cause they think the person is comparing it to hard drugs or something.

  16. Yeah, exactly.

"Weed withdrawals?! Haha no such thing, you noob!!!"

    Wrong answer. :p

  17. is it just me or are these types of threads popping up alot more often recently? lol

  18. i would say pretty soon you will start getting the shakes which only last for 2 months. but once you get through that you're golden ;)
