How long are seeds good for?

  1. I have a bean that fell out of a cali mist bag I got 6 months ago. I have another baggie of mids beans that are between 2 years - 1 year old. I sprouted a couple random mid seeds but half of them did not germinate. Is this because they're to old or just shitty beans?

  2. I think they were shitty beans. Seeds, when kept dry and dark, should be germinating even after 3 years.

  3. Absolutely, even longer. Kept cool, dark and dry, MJ seeds will remain viable for years.

Grain seeds were found stored in the pyramids in Egypt, and scientists were able to germ some of them even after 3,000 years.

  4. that's effing amazing

  5. keep the seeds away from moisture and they will last a long time.

  6. they will last a long time because the bag seed im using for my first grow rite now was the first seeds i ever picked out of the bag like 2 or 3 years ago
