Thank you for all the help.... This is week 4

  2. Whoa getting her trained young then!!! Nice one for the LST!

Don't bother with pH Up/Down until you have a decent pH meter. I'll just repeat: a DECENT pH tester, not a cheapo one. (Bluelabs meters I think are great)

The Foxfarm nutes get a lot of praise on here. Can't get it in the UK but it sounds like it's a really good one to use. Their soil is said to be great too.

When you start on the nutes take it easy!!! They say about one quarter strength of what it says on the bottle to start.

  3. Right now i am using Miracle-Gro Tomattoo food... i have been using like half a tea-spoon..... I dunno how they are working :)....

  4. Bump!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Does the soil have nutes in it? WHat IS the soil?

Tomato feed makes sense, but that Miracle Kill, sorry I mean Miracle Gro is a bit frowned on by many here.

At the end of the day if the plants look healthy you're cool! But take extra care with nutes.

  6. i was thinkin on lsting my newest plant once it gets past seedling stage. those plants look ok. maybe a little stressed though

  7. His thumb nail almost looks as red as his baby's stems LOL

  8. Miracle Gro works just fine for some people. It is not as evil as people make it out to be. Sometimes it is the only thing that you can get your hands on. There are probably better alternatives, but I myself have grown several successful crops using the stuff.

Now, about your plants. They definately look stressed. I think you started LST a little early. Looks like you started before the second node was formed.

Also, your plant looks a little nitrogen deficient. Notice the yellowing on the outer edges of the leaves.

I also don't think that you are reaping the true benefits of LST. I see no increase in lower node production. In fact, I see no growth at all on the lower nodes. This kind of defeats the purpose of LST.

I also noticed that you have trapped some of the fan leaves under the wire that you have used to tie down your plant. (pic #4) Try not to do that.

Finally, at four weeks, I would say that plant is a runt. The good news for you is that might mean you have a better possibility of growing a female. (Females seem to grow more slowly than males) No gaurantees, but in my experience this is true.

    Best of luck to you.

  9. Yea sadly around where i live the closet hydro shop is bout 45 mins away but I am going Wensday of next week to the Hydro shop.... What are some things i should look into getting??? I know i wanna but the Fox Farm Gro Big. I bought Organic soil with no nutes. As for my last soil, it has no Nutes count on the bag i looked all over. Now my plants do look a lil droopy but i did have to water last night. It was bone dry. Also how can i fix the Nitro problem... Do i need to turn my fan more towards my plant????

  10. Just find an addative that is fairly high in Nitrogen (10+) and that should take care of it. Not sure what you have been feeding it to this point. It sounds like you haven't been using any ferts. Which is OK for the first couple of weeks, but at 4 weeks you should definately give it something. Lots of people like the Fox Farm Fish Emulsion. I have heard good things about it.

The drooping could be caused by overwatering. Not sure if that is your probelm, but it is something to consider.

    Good luck.

  11. Yea i will look into getting those Nutes.... Im trying not to spend alot of money but at this point i do belive there is no turning back :)....

  12. Does anyone know if FoxFarm's Big Bloom is okay for veg nutes too?

  13. i dont think so. you need more nitrogen than anything else for veg. i think the big bloom does not have enough. and i only think i could be wrong but just to be on the safe side i would get some nutes for vegging

  14. dried blood is a 12 in N. its really cheap and organic thats what I would get. Yea I think u started LST a lil early. maybe untie it for a bit and let it fill out and get healthier with the nutes then tie her back down.
