How important is humidity ?!

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Remoc05, Sep 20, 2018.

  1. Hey guys.
Been here for couples month I LOVE this forum

    My question is :
I am a first time grower. How important is humidity? I’ve read in some places lower humidity could cause more
Males & spider mites thrive in low humid high temp conditions.

My tent runs avg about 28-30 Celsius with lights on and 33% humidity.
I could prob up the humidity with wet towels I’ve read, but I’m just curious what some people think.
I’m growing 5 durban poison plants ( my favourite strain
Any input I really appreciate !

  3. Humidity is extremely important. 33% humidity is low for vegetative growth but pretty good for flowering. You could probably get away with growing from start to finish with low humidity but your plants won’t likely grow to their full potential. Read the humidity section on www.growweedeasy.com. It is very helpful

  6. Wow man thanks.
    This site is awesome.
    Has a ton of info!!

  7. Humidity is a huge factor. Too low or too high can cause stress. I lower the humidity drastically during flower to make the plant produce more resin. On my first grow journal, I actually got droplets of resin coming from my plant in the last stages of flower. There are risk too. You could cause a hermie or kill your plant if you're not careful.

  8. Reverg - how low did you run your humidity the time you had dripping resin? I’m rocking a new badass dehumidifier, and I’m entering the third week of flower. RH is at 40-43% right now, but I can get it much lower. I want details!
