How important is air exchange during lights out

  1. I have flipped to 12/12 and I am attempting to keep temps up during dark time. Since plants give off more CO2 than they take in ,  is it a good idea to turn off exhaust fans during  lights out. I still have plenty of air movement inside the cabinet.  It enables me to have temps above 70 during the cold spell we are having instead of mid 60's.
    Good  or bad Idea

    TIA

  2. I am interested in hearing some input on this. I keep my exhaust running 24/7 to keep the air exchanging constantly and have been running a small heater with a temp setting of 70deg.

  3. If you have good airflow during lights on then maintaining temps during dark should take priority.

Of course, air circulation is a critical component in odor control so factor that in as well.

  4. My exhaust is on a temp controlled outlet, it basically is only on when lights are on.

My circulation fans are set to turn on just before lights on and off just after.

I have intake fans that only come on if its too cold, as they pull warmer air from my veg. space.

  5.  Exactly what I was trying to avoid

    Thanks
I have 2 exhaust fans one tied to lights on and one that only comes on once it gets above 75

Cooler temps seem to help with odor control as well

    thanks

  6. i have 6 grows in my current room and have never used exhaust fans during lights out. never seen any problems from it and i do heat my room in the winter since it would get down to 45 if i did not. i do have to use the 3M carbon furnace filters on my intakes because with no negative pressure during lights out, it would back draft the odor without them.
