How I Detoxed from Chronic Use in 11 Days

    Thanks to all the information on forums such as this one and various sites around the Web, I was able to detox from chronic marijuana use in only 11 days. I would like to share my recipe for success for those attempting to do the same thing.

    Before I explain my methods I want to point out that this may not work for everyone. I had the added benefit of being underweight and having a fast metabolism. But I also was a very, very heavy smoker. I would be high from the time I got up until I went to bed, every single day, for about 15 years straight (2-3 grams per day). I was a serious addict.

    So when I got the job offer of my dreams and was told that I was going to have to pee in a cup I started reading everything I could to learn how to pass the upcoming drug test. I read post after post, article after article, and absorbed as much information as I could trying to separate the reliable methods from the unreliable. I learned a lot, put what I learned into practice, and now I'm clean as a bee ready for my test.

    1) First thing's first. STOP SMOKING MARIJUANA. That's obvious right? I would hope so. Stop smoking it and don't go near anyone who is.

    2) EXERCISE

    I exercised every day. Here's a link to the warm-up routine and exercise routine I used:

    I also ran approximately 2 miles every night.

    3) DRINK

    Before I started my detox I had a very bad soda addiction. I'm talking 4 liters of Coca-Cola every day. I stopped drinking soda completely and replaced it with:

    * Fruit infused water - buy an infuser and load it up with lemons, cucumbers, and limes. Add purified or spring water. This is going to be your primary drink.

    * Green Super-Antioxidant Tea - drink 2 to 3 cups every day. Get the highest quality one you can find.

    * Apple Cider Vinegar - Drink 8-16 oz every day. I recommend Braggs with Cinnamon flavor added. This was the best tasting one for me.

    * Other drinks - For more variety and flavor I drank the occasional Antioxidant drinks with no sugar added. Bai and Core were the brand names I purchased. They are sweetened with Erythritol and taste great. I only drank one per day of this. When I needed to refuel on electrolytes after my workouts I chose Vitamin Water Zero. DO NOT DRINK GATORADE OR OTHER SUGARY DRINKS.

    4) EAT HEALTHY

    Limit your fat, sodium, and sugar intake as much as possible. Avoid red meat (no burgers, no steaks).

    Eat salad. My go to meal was a salad made with romaine salad mix, spinach, broccoli, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, chia seeds, sunflower seeds (limit or omit these), almonds and chicken. Avoid heavy dressings. I personally love the Wish-Bone Italian dressing. Just take it easy on it.

    My main breakfast was scrambled eggs & bacon. This is not your ordinary scrambled eggs and bacon. Here's my scrambled eggs recipe:

    Take a 1/2 cup egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1/3 cup whole oats, 2 Tbsp ground flax seed, and a small amount of milk and mix in a bowl. Cut up a slice of tomato and some fresh spinach and add it to the mix after you pour your eggs into the pan. I add some Tony Chacheres and hot sauce for flavor.

    If you need your bacon like I do, get the healthiest bacon you can find. I used gluten-free Turkey bacon from Oscar Mayer. Eat whole-wheat toast. Read the ingredients and make sure it doesn't have sugar added.

    If you're looking for something faster I recommend Kashi cereal. Add some flax seed to it and some fresh blueberries for flavor if you want.

    Eat lots of apples. At least one a day.

    5) TAKE SUPPLEMENTS

    I took 5g of creatine every day. This will ensure your creatine levels are high enough when you take your test. I also took 200-300mg of Niacin each day. Don't overdo it on the Niacin. Get the 100mg tablets. The only place I could find 100mg was Rite Aid. Take 2 or 3 of these spread out throughout the day.

    6) TAKE A TOTAL-BODY CLEANSING KIT

    There are a wide variety of these available. Pick one that you think looks good. Make sure you have enough time to complete the whole kit. Some kits are 3-day kits, some are 14-day kits. I personally took the 3-day cleanse kit from RenewLife as seen here: 3-Day Cleanse - Total Body Reset*

    Tip: If you think you have to fart while on a cleansing kit, just go to the bathroom! I found out the hard way and sharted once, lol! You are going to be shitting up a storm!

    7) USE AT-HOME DRUG TESTS

    You want to test yourself at home to make sure you're clean before you actually go in to do your test. I purchased the Easy@Home Marijuana (thc) Single Panel Drug Tests Kit from Amazon. They seem to do the job. Get enough and you can test yourself every day to track your progress.

    That's it! If you followed all these steps then you did everything that I did. Don't cheat or skimp on anything. This worked for me 100% but as I said before, everyone is different and it may take you longer than I did for the detox to complete.

  2. I really would not recommend dieting or exercising when a test is imminent, you're just releasing metabolites into your system which is not desirable.

    Vinegar and fruit infused drinks are also completely unnecessary, you're not trying to detox your body, your attempting to do a dilution technique. Meaning you avoid smoking as long as possible then drink a lot of water the day of the test. The detox drinks aren't really for detox, they're just there to help with dilution, they prevent metabolites from entering your urine for a few hours after drinking the fruit pectin and water mixture.

  3. Right. When the test is getting close (2-3 days before) you should stop exercising as it's doing nothing but releasing those stored THC metabolites. Go ahead and start eating fatty foods too.

    I'm not a doctor or a scientist so I can't say that everything I was doing to detox was playing a part. Some of it was probably unnecessary. All I know is that these are the steps I followed and it worked.

  6. You can't sweat metabolites from your fat cells. Sweat is water. Cannabinoids and their metabolites are not water soluble, and don't get carried out through sweat, since it doesn't have a connection to your liver or kidney.

  7. Glad it worked for you, but your skinniness and young metabolism probably did the trick. If you don't have much fat to store THC then you've solved half the problem right there. I hope you get the job though, good luck.

  8. Had to take a blood test because my piss was too diluted even when I wasn't diluting. Not sure why but I guess it works out even better. THC doesn't stay in the blood nearly as long afaik.
