How "hot" is it where you live?

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by blowindro317, Mar 3, 2011.

  1. I mean, how much are the cops on you for smoking where you live? I live in Indianapolis and if you're on the west, east, or north side, its pretty hot.......Much hotter where I live on the west side(around Martin Luther King Blvd of course, lol). I live in a neighborhood where cops frequently ride up and down the street messing with ANYBODY. Its not even a race thing around here, they even fuck with the oldest, white woman that may ride down the street. Can you guys freely ride around blowing, with windows down or even cracked? Here, there's such a weed culture that most people I know still smoke in the car, regardless of where they go, they just watch for the cops. Windows definitely always up, preferably tinted. Me personally, I can wait till I get somewhere, either inside or outside I don't care, as long as I'm stationary and relatively out of site. But most of my friends just HAVE to smoke in the car, I guess the way people have to have a cigarette when they drive because of the traffic. But if I'm in the car with them, I'm not paranoid about smoking, maybe a tad. Here, if you get pulled over and they smell weed, you're definitely getting snatched out and searched and of course if you're caught driving on suspended or something, you're getting searched regardless if they smell anything or not....I've had some close calls, never been caught though. Regardless, the attitude around there is still pretty much fuck it.

But dudes aren't walking the streets and standing on corners here, AT ALL. You just gotta know somebody but everybody's got it in Naptown. Also, IPD is becoming known for crooked cops and there's been a lot of drug busts involving cops lately.

Basically, even though its hot here, it doesn't even remotely slow down the widespread or even public use..

The one surprising thing is that when its warm out, every Sunday Riverside park is on swoll and we can smoke outside in the park blatantly and the cops never mess with us...Weird...Its like they let us have our one day weed fest and mess with us every other day., lol..

  2. I smoke in the backyard and garage, even outside the front door. Most of the people I know smoke in their condos/apartments and none have had problems, with the exception of one time.

Upstairs neighbor hated my buddy because they always play loud music at wee hours in the morning, and he would knock and complain. They called the cops on him once because they smelled the herb. and the cops showed up and just said to crack a window or get a fan. They were indifferent about weed, and as far as they were concered if you were in your house smoking and not bothering anyone, then just be discreet and don't advertise it.

    West chicago suburbs

  3. I live in southern Cali... its pretty lax here.. i have my card anyways though.. so even if i did get caught with nug on me i could tell them to fuck off.

I live in a pretty liberal town. And It holds a prestige art college that was rated number #1 stoner friendly in the country two years in a row some years back. The cops are more worried about the hard drugs and all the drunks. The local park here all the hippies used to chill at and we had a hill called hippy hill. Back in HS it was a huge hangout spot. Just a nice place over looking the park where stoners and the homeless would gather and hangout. We'd sit there all day tokin and smoking american spirit rollies. Then drunks and stupid freshmen ruined it and the park is full of cameras and cops drive through all the time. :(

  5. Not sure how much they care about grass, but I was driving through my town, a suburb of Rochester NY, saw about 5 local and 2 states as well as a county sheriff within about 40min at around 10:00 pm

  6. i lived in a small country town in ohio all chilled back. we didnt even have our own police force. infact. i only seen maybe 10 cops in all in the year (so far) i live here.

  7. None of my friends have had any police encounters regarding weed.... maybe we're just good at hiding it lol

    Also, around 35 degrees...

  8. fkn' cold right now mate

  9. The cops here in Texas are bitches. Nothing ever happens that's actually severe and no one in my town does anything harder than ecstasy, shrooms, cocaine, and weed, (and the coke is rare) so all the stoners get screwed over by the cops.

  10. My brother just came from the south side of Chicago and they found a blunt on them and he said they were all over them, probably cause they had Indiana plates too. Here, they care about all the drugs but they're definitely on weed the most. Cops are all over the "lock people of for weed, get the money out of it" tip.

I see some of you live in small towns, does anybody live in a big city and have to deal with police constantly?

Ill tell u, there's a dude who's got a weed house here, around the corner from me and he's got rotating traffic despite the police knowing where it is...He moves from place to place every few months. I just go around there when I just got 10 bucks or something for some reg cause dudes don't sell dime bags here. Its too hot to go around there just for a dime, lol..

  11. lol, sounds exactly like here in Naptown...I don't know one person who does anything besides weed really, a few pop pills or take vicatins or something like that but no dope or anything like that..

  12. Yeah, I've never had a marijuana related police incident. They don't care here, they wont even confiscate it if you have an ounce or less.

I don't understand why people trip so hard about police? I've lived in several places and never had an issue. Just be smart and if you have personal amounts and know your state laws there is no issue, so why make one?

  13. Shit, they'll lock u up quick here for less than a gram here, although I guess technically its just a misdameanor, you're definitely going downtown...

  14. Its hot everywhere i go

  15. i'm in college station and since this is a college town the cops are bustin people everyday for bud...lame shit

  16. I live near Seattle so it's pretty liberal. I mean you don't want to smoke a bowl while staring at a cop but I've smoked a joint downtown with no problems, smoke in my car with the windows down, etc. Just don't be blatantly obvious or arrogant about it and you're fine.

When I first started smoking my sophomore year of hs, my friend and I just got done and had a pipe and weed on the dash, we were just talking in her car (it was late at night, we were on a dirt road, it was dark secluded, etc) when we see that huge fucking spotlight turn on us. :( they pulled up and asked us some questions like what we were doing and we said just talking and listening to music and they just told us to "drive home safely ladies" all the while the pipe and the weed was sitting in plain view. Got lucky that time.

  17. I'm jealous...

  18. Its decriminalized here. But yea the cops arent too nosy. I hardly see any actually. Ive smoked all around town and never had a problem.

  19. Colorado in general...chill as fuck.
    My city specifically...hot as balls

  20. I live in Rochester too, and for the most part, the police are more focused on the various other crime problems in the area. They care very little about the stoners smoking pot in their basements not causing trouble, they're out looking for the burglars, murderers, and coke dealers. Not to mention the corrupt police.
