How high could i really have been?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Piller, Mar 1, 2010.

  1. Smoked two mini blunts. During the last blunt i started shaking. A LOT. I didn't feel cold at all but i was shaking non stop and i couldn't stop. Got dropped off at my house and i went into my room, i sat in my chair and instantly i felt like my heart was beating incredibly fast and felt like it was missing beats. I was still shaking even though my room was warm, about a minute passed and all of a sudden i was seeing things weird color distortions. Everything started swirling and some vague shapes popped up. Colors would pop up and go away and i'd come back to reality and just see my t.v. but then it'd happen again and again. When it reached it's peaked i kept seeing situations play out of various things, when i say see i mean i saw people actually play it out like it was real. It's hard to explain what the situations but they were weird. What the fuck happened? Was i just extremely high? Also when the colors and vague pictures popped up it seemed to over lay what i was really looking at.

    You were just really stoned.

Cannabis is a hallucinogen. People will tell you that you cannot hallucinate under its influence, but the effects are entirely too subjective for that claim to hold true among everyone.

I personally experience mild hallucinations, such as two dimensional spiders or pyramids. They usually just appear superimposed onto actual objects in the environment, so maybe they're really just visual distortions. Whatever you want to call it, it is very intense nonetheless.

Colors and sounds are amplified greatly, and I occasionally feel some paranoia with regards to my heartbeat because I sometimes have an arrhythmia. You can always slow your heart rate by simply relaxing, breathing in some fresh air, or drinking orange juice, no matter how high you are. That's how the body functions.

In the words of Terence McKenna, just relax and know that most people have come out of this thing alive. Well, in the case of Cannabis, actually all have ;).

  5. Freaked out about what? I wasn't freaked out at all, just all that weird shit happened. Or what do you mean?

About a year or so, probably more. Theres only one time this has happened and it was when i ingested 3.5 G's of dank in a firecracker and it wasn't as intense as this.

  6. Ah i figured i was just really high, it was kind of great to be that high i had alot of insight into friendships/people and feel like some of the things i was thinking about are actually true. Thanks for the explanation!

  10. I agree. Even some of my most anxious experiences with marijuana have actually been the most insightful. Makes me think about the nature of life and death and how this incredible plant has acquired a defense mechanism that essentially shows you what death can be like without actually taking you there. From what I hear, death can be quite a psychedelic experience.

As for the shaking, I used to get like that in the beginning. It is important that you take your mind off your heart or even your physical body entirely if it makes you nervous, as anxiety will only become worse if you don't. If you can't do this right away, experience will help eliminate the anxiety factor associated with first starting.
