Hi all! Have a quick question here. How far will the odor carry during flower outdoors? I have a spot picked out that is completely inaccessible by about 800 feet in any given direction. However, the smell cannot carry further than 800 feet during maximum stinkiness (which I assume will be during flower) or I might have a problem. So here are the particulars: - Heavy vegetation. The place stinks anyways in the summertime due to the swamp like surroundings. - 10 plants, 100 gallon smart pots, expect about 1 lb of goodness on each one. What do you guys think? Will the smell for 10 of these bad boys carry further than 800 feet? I hope not, as this is a prime spot I have been scouting since this past July. Thanks all!
noo, your fine. its like smoking outside, as soon as the smoke disapears then its virutally unsmellable, so lets say about 150 feet.
Ok. So we are talking about 300 feet downwind. Any chance the odor could carry 3x that distance? Or would you say 100-200 yards would be the maximum distance for the cluster I mentioned in my original post? Thanks!
It definitely can if your growing more then 1-2 of a stinky strain. I've smelt plants a 1/4 mile away (no joke) while hiking. It really depends on wind, humidity, temperature and barometric pressure! You should be fine, but I would personally find a spot with more then 800 feet on each side.
Ive grown mulitple plants at one time. 10+. Never once have i tought walking through the woods that it smells like dank. Clearly if your growing in the middle of your yard but in the woods it smells like woods. Your gay and paraniod
