    How does color changing glass change color? This has been bothering me :confused:

    Thats what I have figured, but how does the resin change the color of the glass?

    There are metals in the glass that reflect light (these metals also cause color). These particles are very small, so when the pipe is clean a lot of the light passes through. When there's resin inside the pipe, the colors have a good "background" so they are visible.

    Disclaimer: I probably screwed up a detail or two, but that's the gist of it.
