Hey GC, does anyone else "See" music when they listen to it high? I usually listen Jazz and the music takes on a sort of shape in my head. If it's a quartet then it's kind of a square with an instrument at each point, or if it's a quintet then a pentagon etc. It really lets me hear every instrument independently at the same time. The bass is especially good. Anyways, does anyone else find this to be the case too? How is music made better by weed for everyone else?
to be honest I never saw music. But one time I was jerking off while high and my dick felt like a building that was collapsing as I finished.
Like an EKG. Horizontal lines deflecting vertically for stringed instruments. And little pops/blips for percussion/pianos. I've always figured this was fairly common way to "see" music, but I could be wrong.
I hear music when im sober I feel music when im high but i dnt think u can see it... maybe on acid or something
I agree. The ONE-and only-time i ever saw music was when I was high on mushrooms. I was sitting in this tree fort and this kid (I didn't really know who he was) was playin GTA:Vice City, Some well known 80's song came on, I forget what it was, and I started trippin on this wall made out of plywood (from like home depot) and it started to take shape into this guy that was wearing a diamond studded jacket (I shit you not, I saw the glitters from the diamonds.) He was still on the wall but it was more like a moving painting. Anyway so the guy starts singin the song and everything just rockin out and my mind is just going wtf. Finally, after what seemed like forever the song ends the the guy melts back into the wall and that was it I returned to reality ( I was still ya, but you know.) I started tellin this kid (his name was michael, again I don't know him very well, he's a little shy) to do it again, I kept sayin "do it again, do it again." And he just looked at me like "do what?" It was really cool. Anyway I can't say I've ever seen music while high on weed, but, I can feel the music more than when I'm sober.
Haha, cool story soapman. I guess I didn't describe it very well. It's not like a hallucination, I guess the sound just takes on a form it doesn't normally have. It's very geometrical and ordered. Very beautiful. I suppose the description of feeling it is more appropriate.
I'm with you dude...if I close my eyes when I'm just chillin listening to music high, I can see shapes take form and change into all kinds of things.
What does seeing music even mean though?? Peaking on acid I've seen some real tight shit while listening to certain songs. But is that seeing the music? I can't comprehend that, hm.
