How do you prevent thiefs from taking your bike?

  1. So I was looking around at electric powered bicycles for an alternate mode of transportation for shorter trips and saving the environment and after thinking about it for a while, was wondering how I was going to protect my $1000 bike from potential thieves.

    I read that using two different locks for your front and back wheels + frame helps, but doesn't completely deter.

    Another option was bringing it inside, but you can't really do that at most stores/establishments.

    If I can't find enough good methods, I may go with something I can carry like an electric skateboard instead. But the bike looks to be a better option as it has more range and utility.

  2. it's simple, set up a few claymore mines surrounding your bike

  3. Take off a wheel and bring it inside

  4. U locks generally work quite well.

  5. if there 2 locks on it i think that will be enought to deter potential thieves, its electric not solid gold

  6. Chain the damn frame.

  7. This, it's not going anywhere unless they have bolt cutters on them or they move the item it is attached to.

  8. When you go home if you live on the first floor then bring it inside. As for going in stores I don't think somebody will steal it in broad day light but if you wanna be safe you could lock it. But don't lock it and leave it out overnight you definitely want to bring it inside your home.

  9. Leave one of these chained up to it;
