How do you know your dealer isn't lying about a strain?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Hazy Ghost, Aug 4, 2012.

  1. Hey guys, I was just wondering how you guys know that your dealer isn't lying to you about what strain they are selling you. I know different strains have different smells and texture and visual appearance, but there are so many strains that look similar to each other and everything. I look at pictures online of weed and to me, a lot of different strains all look the exact same to me. I was wondering because one of my dealers told me that he has some Northern Lights he is selling and I want to make sure he isn't lying when I get it.

  2. They don't really know unless they get it from a legit grower. Other than that they're just making up names.

  3. You can't. Check the interwezz.

  4. alot of times dealers wont even know strain name so they just make it up dont worry about it much tho man knowing the name of the strains not that big of a deal (deel i dunno*stoned*)

  5. Shit man, unless you're buying from a grower/getting Medical chances are its made up.

My guy told me he was selling "Mango something" and I just laughed until it made him uncomfortable.

  6. Hey man let me tell you what not to do. Do NOT use leafly to determine your strain. The placebo effect is so vivid with weed that it will actually change the effect of your weed based on the leafly review. Only noticable difference is between indica and sativa dom.

  7. You don't. But my dudes get MMJ. I've had a few dealers who got MMJ and some of them kept the bud in the MMJ bottle, so I know it was legit.

  8. Most of the time it's just grown in someone's basement, and if one batch is danker than the others before it, dealers will throw names on it.

If there's a name on it' it might be better
    OR
the dealer wants to sell faster so he's exaggerating the quality of his kush

  9. ^pretty much sums it up

  10. Okay haha thanks for the answers guys. I just see a bunch of people on this site post threads about what strain they have and how much they got it for from their dealer. Usually when I buy, I just ask if it's loud or mids because where I live, nobody knows strains. I don't think my dealer is lying about it being northern lights though because he never tells me strains, he just says it's loud and good shit so I buy it. Hopefully it is some good shit nevertheless haha.

  11. dank not loud

  12. It doesnt matter... Chronic is chronic
