How do you know if bud is 'primo?'

Discussion in 'General' started by cinnamonbun, Sep 3, 2022.

  1. I know you're gonna say genetics. But how do you know how to discern good genetics from bad genetics? Most websites aren't going to list their seeds as producing 'primo' bud. And if they did, I'd be highly skeptical of the claim.

So how do you know how to shop for primo seeds? Where do I/should I start?

  2. The final product will be determined on how you treat and grow the plant every aspect of the grow has to be optimal perfect if you can water soil nutrients lighting pots temperature humidity ventilation these thing play a role in the Marijuana you grow yes genetics has a huge part too but if the things listed above aren't good genetics will mean nothing if I missed anything I'm still a new grower myself

  3. Enough experience growing bud is required IMO for selecting that 'one' good pheno. DNA Genetics seems to be serving me well.
    -Heat/cold resistance
    -Drought resistance
    -Moisture resistance
    -Pest resistance
    -No hermie
    -Minimal late-flower nanners
    -A greater smell/aroma then rest of it's sisters;
    -Flower colour
would all contribute to good genetics and can help you pick the right Pheno out of the rest

Don't forget that even though genes play a big role, you are the biggest role in making sure she reaches her potential.

  4. But how do you know the genetics of the seeds you're buying will produce the highly sought after primo bud? Like what am I supposed to be looking for when I shop for seeds?

Also. As an aside, what strain of plant are you growing? Do you have a link to the website so I can go and compare your product with what they advertise?

IMO buy American, no vat or expensive shipping (assuming you r from here). I'm no ace about this but liked the LA confidential from IL2GM. (google it) IMO don't go crazy spending big $ on many seeds. 1 plant can yield many clones vs 10-20$ or more per seed. Look for a strain that is EASY TO GROW ,a size that fits your room/tent. Don't overcrowd with 2 many plants or you can end up a fat guy in a little tent. Lotsa advice to follow hopefully & plenty of meat on this bone left. Books still work right? I graduated from U-tube university of weed.

  10. So yeah as long as you adhere to all those optimal conditions then your plant should produce the high quality bud you look for drying the flower and curing will also play a part too I forgot that part and most seed companies will give you a little info on the genetics

  12. DAMN, so many trichomes. You think your plants are more or less beginning to look like this?

  13. There have been enough people to have grown different varieties that we 'basically' know if a variety is probably going to be good or not. Then again I've grown two seeds of the same species side by side, same nutes, same water, sunlight, everything...and came up with two VERY different levels of potency.

Depends on your source but trends come and go. Check out high times and other sources for what’s current and popular if that’s what you want… or just grow/buy what sounds good to you… * I usually look for seeds with a high thc percentage but that’s just me lol *
