As someone searching for a new dealer, I'm curious about how other people have gone about this process. I just moved to a new state and don't know many people around this area. i used to always have the hookup from old college and high school friends. but now that i'm an "adult" in the "professional world" my bag of tricks is limited to striking up conversations with friendly people at bars or clubs, but that has usually only left me on the receiving end of strange looks or bags of schwag.

This one time at a bar I was targeting a slightly older guy with a tie-dye shirt with JAMAICA written on the front. Looked like a hippie to me so after 10 minutes of chit-chat I was about to ask him the big Q but first decided to ask what he did for a living. Turns out he was a cop who had just returned from a trip to Jamaica!! Now "whats your occupation" is the first thing i ask.

Let's hear your stories. Troubled or successful, I want to hear about it.

  2. Well, I work at a fine dining restaurant and already (not even month working there) around 4 people have offered to sell me shit. Shit, people freely talk about smoking pot in front of the manager. I don't know if it's just the one I'm at, or all, but it surprised the hell out of me. Maybe depending on where you work if you have a job, there are connects there you have no idea about.

I also work with my bro who freely talks of my smoking which is quite annoying.

thanks for the comic relief 2hi4u.. dont know why its funny but it is.

  4. General socialising most of the time.

  5. If you work at any restarunt or fast food joint that is almost a sure bet. I don't think I've ever worked in one where no one smoked.

  6. go to a popular corner and yell....lookin for bud.....got any bod anyone....

I guess my situation is pretty uncommon. I dont have friends that live in my state who smoke good bud b/c all my friends in the town that i recently moved to are straitedge coworkers. Maybe i should take a week off from work and try to get a job in a restaurant for a week.

    thanks for the input everyone

  9. Go down to the worst block and bring 20 dollars, ask for the good good.

  10. through friends only. all the random people ive met claiming to sell bud are usually bullshitting or do not have the grade i am looking for.

FineKine - boy can I really relate. I am in an identical position and cannot jeopardize by putting my profession at risk. On top on it, I am new in the area and have done nothing but work since I was relocated here two years ago. As a result, I don't know anyone. Yesterday, frusrated as hell, I asked a valet a bar/restaurant who is a kid of 20 or so, he said he can find some today. Well, he didn't. And, yesterday I went to little 5 and two kids wanted me to drive them North where they claim they have access for kush @ $100/qtr. I chickened out. To top it all, as soon as I arrived at little 5, a cop called out to me "hey you work at __________; don't you remember me, I'm a part time security guard at the building and we had a long talk about the Cleveland Clowns some 6 months ago". I didn't remember him.

I've asked others, but I think they're scared of me as I don't think I fit a particular profile for "safe, no narc here" (including the valet. They're suspicious. Only if they knew......i've offered to smoke with them, surf me on the net for my backgroiund, etc."

I ordered some legal buds. I'm just about done trying to find any. Too old. Will someone, anyone even with oregano, pm me and save this sorry ass cowardly soul please.hehe

  12. Usually the yellowbook, but sometimes google helps. That email shit is crazy too :hello:

Damn buckey I know people in atlanta that could help you out. and since im in a similar situation to you i feel an urge to hook you up with one of them. Unfortunately, i dont trust people whose face i have never seen, and that includes you. sorry, just a rule of mine. more than that i dont want to put my buddy at risk.

all i can say is keep at it brother. little 5 is definately the right place to be looking. all those glass shops around there are a magnet for tokers. as sketchy as it sounds maybe hang out at one of the outdoor cafes around the glass shops and maybe someone walking out with glass will sit next to you and you can ask them.

good luck and keep the faith

  14. somethin yall might wanna look into is growin your own....just a thought.

  15. Dude, my girl just started out in law school. We weren't sure if anyone there would smoke but when everyone got drunk at a party they got to talking and most of them are cool with it. Maybe the case is the same whereever you are (it could be, she goes to school in the middle of conservative Alabama).

When I need to find bud in a new place, a gas station can be a good spot. Look for people buying blunts or cigars and whatnot. If there's a tobacco or smoke shop near you, even better. That's worked for me almost everytime I've had to do it, surprisingly.

The only other method I can think of now is just going to the hood. Its a pretty safe bet that who ever you ask will be able to hook you up with some kind of bud, though probably not the kind bud. I would ONLY recommend doing that though as a last resort, and only if you're confident in your ability to: a. not get fucked with, and b. not get ripped off. You definitely need to have experience with the ghetto though.

Shit, as to finding good, high grade green though?
I dunno man, best of luck to you though.

 ha ha ha I love this purple guy right here

  16. buckeyenatlanta, don't give up! The ATL is full of good ass weed! Always be on the look out and you WILL find some. You're like Obi wan Kenobi, you are Princess Leia's only hope, you need to use the force to find the green

  17. acquiring new friends and getting there connections

  18. What I would do if I was desperate enough would be just find a headshop a strike up a conversation with another patron in there, exit with them then outside ask them if they know where to get some bud.

  19. LOL sadly this is the point that I'm at :(

  20. People do care. Thanks to all. I completely understand your position FineKine. I am just as scared asking in fear of getting set up. Times are sad and they sure have changed for the worst even though legalization laws appear less stict in some states. You'd think the cops have better things to do. For one thing, I probably need to rent a different car, grow my hair like old, and get rid of the Armani suits next time I'm out, if ever. Just to think I use to be pretty street smart at one time. Growing is the way but just sold my house in Ohio and still living in an apartment in Midtown. Peace.
