To start, you currently aren't able to purchase a membership from the shop, at least that's what I've been reading. Purchasing gold silver or bronze will give you access to nirvana, a section of the forum not available to non paying members. You're also supposed to get discount coupons from the shop but uh, you won't get them unless you break admin/mods balls about it.
Don't hold me to it, I've seen other members mention that. I believe there is supposed to be a new system introduced where your membership is activated automatically instead of manually by mod. Ya know, because GC just realized its 2013

It is actually ready but we have to wait upper management to handle couple additional tasks on their side. Memberships will be paid through Bitcoin system though...
