I'm just wondering because my method needs to change. I've been dumping the dirty water into my bathtub and rinsing it. The tub is always covered in resin and it's not very pleasant. I guess I could dump the water outside or in the toilet but for some reason I always end up dumping it down the tub.

I've done the rock salt and alcohol and it does wonders but I ran out of rock salt and alcohol.

Are there any other household items I can use that work well?

How do you clean your bong :ey:?

  2. Buy 454 cleaner. Da da da

  3. im cheap and use sea salt and if just mix more water with the iso if im low..

  4. Grunge Off. No shaking and gets it perfectly clean. It's gonna be around $18 at your LHS but is reusable indefinitely. I have two bongs, ashcatch, bubbler, and bowl and they all stay clean thanks to this stuff. It's really the best.

And that stuff is used heavily. :smoke:

And seriously dude, just dump it in the toilet. That's a horrible smell to leave in your tub.

  5. Grunge Off?

    Doesn't sound healthy lol.

  6. Dump that shit in the toilet man and kitchen salt and nailpolish remover works fine.

  7. I use SIMPLE GREEN!
It's all natural and you don't even have to scrub it.
I buy a gallon at Home Depot for 10 bucks.
    DO NOT DILUTE IT!
Pour into bong, cork up ends and let sit overnight.
Empty and rinse with hot water.
    Done.

P.S. You can reuse it over and over, I usually get about 5 cleanings out of 1 gallon. :)

  8. Household? Simple Green or ISO and salt. A bottle of ISO is only like 2 bucks

I normally use Formula 420 or ISO depending on how much money I have to spend on a new bottle whenever I run out of what I had before. I'm probably gonna get Grunge Off next time just because Im starting to get some resin build up in my perc that ISO and 420 don't remove well

  9. Yeah my perc clogs up all the time and the bong doesn't hit like it used to at all. I guess I'll try some Grunge Off.

  10. SIMPLE GREEN!!! you can re-use it longer that ISO, no shaking around like ISO so you dont risk breaking glass, cheaper than grunge off and works the same and easier to find!!! easier to keep around the house and you can use it to clean tons of other stuff like your carpet or couch when you spill bong water!
Here is a pic of some of my glass soaking!

  11. iso and salt also used Simple Green many times is the past, both work great

  12. Has anyone used vinegar?

  13. yes i have because i was getting hard water stains from water and ISO and salt it works ok

  14. Im considering making the switch to simple green because of hard water stains.
    Vinegar only helps somewhat.

How much is a big bottle at say, home depot?
Gonna google it, just curious how much you pay.

  15. People really reuse simple green? And iso?

  16. yea man i tried so much shit for hardwater stains nothing worked as good as SIMPLE GREEN! well at home depot is where i buy mine its 9.99 for a big gallon dont dillute it!!!
it was on sale last night at smart and finall for 8 bux
its deff worth it! and you get more than those special cleaners

  17. How long do you soak your pieces Vato?

  18. hahahahaha

  19. ISO should never be re-used!!! as alcohol is sterile but once used bacteria can form in it
and i never do if i clean a FILTHY peace having black if filthy in my book,or not translucent, i never let my glass non-translucent always yellow brownish but still see through!

if they are not bad i soak em for an hour, but if they are yellow and brown 2hrs and when i clean pieces that are not translucent they will get a 6hrs soak and takes care of it all!!!

  20. For hard water/calcium stains which is better: simple green or CLR?
